| Military Order of Purple Heart Meeting August 13, 2008 Commander Roland Doucet asked Chaplin Riley Diamond to open in prayer. After the prayser State Advocate Tiggerman Willimans lead chapter 177 in the pledge of allegiance to the flag. At this time a motion was made by Commander Doucet that all business be suspended in order that the chapter may perform cermonial services for Sgt. Gilmore who was killed in May of 2008. Sgt. John Treeton gave the ullage for Sgt. Gilmore. Sgt. Treeton spoke about Sgt. Gilmore time in service and dedication to his Country. After Sgt. Treeton finished Commander Doucet presented Sgt. Gilmores mother and three sisters with a honorary plaque in honor of service to his country. It was noted how moved Sgt. Gilmores mother and sister were and how appreciative the family was for this recognition. After the presentation of the plaque Chaplin Riley Diamond played taps in honor of Sgt. Gilmore. Meeting was closed with prayer by Chaplin Riley Diamond. Sgt. Gilmore family was told that this concluded the ceremony and all Patriot stood in their honor. After Gilmores family left the building Commander Doucet called Chapter 177 back to order and Benney Stanley gave the finical report. Chapter has appoimaxtely $6000.00 dollars.
