2. Dec. 12, 2009 , Commander Doucet attended the Wreaths across America at the Baton Rouge, National Veterans Cemetery , hosted by Blue Star Moms. Also, Royce Hempel attended Wreaths across America at the Port Husdon National Cemetery.
3. Jan. 31, 2010. Chapter 177 held burial services for Bill (Tigerman) Allen. Bill was laid to rest at Port Hudson National Cememtery. Bill received full military honors. This was a sad day for Chpater 177.
4..Feb. 22, 2010 Chapter 177 celebrated George Washingtons Birthday our guest speaker was Mr. Dewey Davis, Principle of Copper Mill School and Patriot Roosevelt Gidpson.
5. March 14, 2010 MOPH 177 supported two House Bills before the Louisiana Legislative Body. HB 1204 By Representative Edwards (Mtr Vehicle/Licen Plates) to support our Veterans and HB 246 by Roger Pope to exempt 100% disabled vets from paying property tax. Both bills are being worked through the legislative session.
6. April 30&May 1 MOPH 177 will host the State Convention and Governor Boby Jindal will present Louisiana Medals Friday morning to all vets present.
